‘Night to Unite’ planned for Aug. 6

As part of the annual “Night to Unite” event, neighborhoods across Plymouth will host block parties from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, and the Plymouth police and fire departments will hold an open house from 2:30-5 p.m. that day.

The open house, scheduled for the Plymouth Creek Center at 14800 34th Av. N., will feature a variety of entertainment for children, with moonwalks and games. Visitors will examine a squad car, a North Memorial Aircare helicopter, a water-rescue craft and a SWAT vehicle, and police and firefighters will answer questions.

“We designed the open house to be a fun learning experience for all ages,” Police Chief Mike Goldstein said.
