NATIONAL GUARD ARMORY AND VETERANS’ MEMORIAL, Iowa Avenue and Hwy. 28 in Morris. Ceremony at 9 a.m. followed by ceremony at Veterans’ Memorial. 1-320-585-5925.

RICHFIELD’S HONORING ALL VETERANS MEMORIAL, 6429 Portland Av. S. Ceremony at 2 p.m. includes unveiling of the latest additions to the memorial granite tablets, music and guest speaker, Minnesota National Guard Adj. Gen. Richard C. Nash. Bring a chair.

ROCKFORD MEMORIAL DAY PARADE. 10 a.m. Starts at Rockford Middle School, 6051 Ash St., and follows Ash Street to Walnut Street to Main Street to Bridge Street to Mechanic Street to Cedar Street to Maple Street, concluding at Elmwood Cemetery. Along the route there will be a Navy memorial program at the Crow River Bridge, and a memorial service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery. Also planned are a pork chop dinner in Riverside Park, 8220 Elm St., and a pie-and-ice cream social at the Stork House, 8131 Bridge St., from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

SHAKOPEE MDEWAKANTON SIOUX COMMUNITY MEMORIAL DAY at the Veterans Monument at Tiowakan Spiritual Center, 14625 Prairie Grass Drive in Prior Lake. Ceremony at 9 a.m.

ST. MARY’S ORTHODOX CATHEDRAL CEMETERY, 3025 Stinson Blvd. NE. in St. Anthony. Ceremony at 10 a.m. with music and speaker Scott Boris of the Minnesota Army National Guard. Lunch to follow at the parish, 1701 5th St. NE. in St. Anthony. 612-781-7667.

VETERANS MEMORIAL AMPHITHEATER IN WOLFE PARK, 3700 Monterey Drive, St. Louis Park. Ceremony begins at 11 a.m., sponsored by the VFW and the American Legion.

VETERANS MEMORIAL AT PURGATORY CREEK PARK, 13001 Technology Drive, Eden Prairie. Ceremony begins at 11 a.m. Speaker will be U.S. Army veteran Nicholas Eichman, who served in the Iraq war.

VETERANS MONUMENT AT CITY CENTER PARK, 7700 Market Blvd., Chanhassen. Ceremony begins at noon, sponsored by Chanhassen American Legion Post 580. Services at area cemeteries begin at 8 a.m.

WOODBURY LIONS VETERANS MEMORIAL, Woodbury City Hall, 8301 Valley Creek Road. Ceremony begins at 11 a.m. with retired Lt. Col. William B. Mozey Jr. as the speaker. Hosted by Woodbury VFW Post 9024, the Woodbury American Legion Post 501 and the Woodbury Lions Veterans Memorial Council.


MINNESOTA VETERANS HOME AT LUVERNE, 1300 N. Kniss Av. Ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m. in the dining room. Speaker will be Jane Ellefson, American Legion department vice commander for Districts 2 and 7. Honor guard from Luverne’s American Legion Post 123 and Luverne’s VFW Post 2757.
