West metro police blotter

Eden Prairie

JUNE 2

Burglary. A house in the 9000 block of Bennett Place was burglarized. A golf bag and clubs valued at $1,350 were stolen.

JUNE 3

Burglary. Someone entered a business in the 8200 block of Commonwealth Drive by smashing a window. A laptop, desktop computer and a cash register were stolen. The loss was estimated at $5,000.

Hopkins

JUNE 9

Theft. A man in the 100 block of Tyler Avenue N. reported he believes he has found his property at a pawn shop in Ramsey. In October, a U-Haul that the man rented was stolen. The U-Haul contained about $700,000 worth of the man's property.

Independence

JUNE 8

Fishing complaint. Police received a report that people were throwing dead fish on the road in the 2300 block of Independence Road.

Plymouth

JUNE 5

Burglary. A resident in the 3900 block of Arrowwood Lane found a back patio door open and items taken from inside, including a gun, DVD player, DVDs and jewelry; the stolen items were valued at $2,105.

JUNE 6

Property damage. Soccer goals and benches at Providence Academy were piled in front of the school's driveway entrance, blocking the flow of traffic into the main school parking lot.

South Lake Minnetonka Police Department

JUNE 1

Suspicious activity. Residents reported finding what they said appeared to be a human skull in their front yard. Upon further inspection by an officer, it was determined the object was a large mushroom.

JUNE 2

Animal complaint. Police received a report of an injured horse. The horse was checked by officers and it appeared the horse was just trying to scratch an itch.

JUNE 8

Animal assist. Police helped a duck and her ducklings cross the highway.

Watertown TOwnship

JUNE 10

Theft. A four-wheeler valued at $2,300 was stolen from the 2500 block of Hutchinson Road.
