Another Twin Cities electronics waste recycling event is going on from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Best Buy's corporate campus at 7601 Penn Av. S., Richfield. It's a joint effort with Waste Management, which will accept such items as televisions, VCRs, computers, cell phones and stereos.

Spring cleaners, take note: Another Twin Cities electronics waste recycling event is going on from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today    at Best Buy's corporate campus at 7601 Penn Av. S., Richfield.

It's a joint effort with Waste Management, which will accept such items as televisions, VCRs, computers, cell phones and stereos. Don't bring microwaves, smoke detectors, air conditioners, household appliances and dehumidifiers.

Because of road construction on major streets around the drop-off site, including Interstate 35W and 76th Street, consumers might want to consider other recycling options. Best Buy stores also now accept e-waste as part of a pilot project begun recently at stores in San Francisco, the Twin Cities and the Washington area.

For statewide resources, go to www.recycleminnesota.org and click on the link under the "Can I recycle this?" list on the right side of the website.
