Disabled vehicle. The owner of a vehicle stalled at Afton Alps, 6600 Peller Av., notified police he would pick it up the next day.

JAN. 27

Rollover. Police found one vehicle in a ditch in the area of Manning Avenue and 110th Street. The juvenile driver and lone occupant was uninjured.

Loose cows. Several cows were reported loose and hanging out with a few deer on Klondike Avenue. The owner of the cows was contacted.

Suspicious activity. Police checked but were unable to verify a report of someone buying liquor for minors at M T Liquor, 748 Wildwood Road.

OAKDALE

JAN. 24

Noise complaint. A woman in the 3700 block of Gershwin complained to police that her neighbor started his van in the driveway to warm it up and it woke her up. The neighbor didn't realize he was disturbing anyone.

Suspicious person/Suspicious activity. An officer observed a man crouched by the front passenger tire of a vehicle at 10 p.m. in the 7300 block of Hudson Boulevard. The man then got in the car and drove away. The officer stopped the man, who explained he was checking his tire because he thought it was going flat. No criminal activity was found.

Found property. An employee at Caribou Coffee, 7009 10th St., found a baggie of what appeared to be marijuana while cleaning tables. The employee did not know who left the item. The substance tested positive for marijuana and was disposed of by police.

SCANDIA

JAN. 23

Alarm sounding. The alarm to a home in the 23000 block of St. Croix Trail accidentally sounded while workers were checking the heat in the home.

JAN. 24

Hazardous material issue. A woman in the 23000 block of Melanie Trail called police concerned about what she should do after dropping a mercury light bulb. Police advised her she could throw the damaged bulb away.

STILLWATER

JAN. 23

Stuck in elevator. Police responded to a report of a woman stuck in the elevator on the fourth floor of the Washington County Government Center, 14949 62nd St. By the time police arrived, the Stillwater Fire Department had rescued the woman.

JAN. 27

Fence on fire. Police were called to the 700 block of Maple Street on a report of compost that had caught fire. The homeowner extinguished the fire by the time police arrived.

Shoplifting. A man was arrested on suspicion of stealing an air duster at Target, 2021 Market Drive. He was also cited for driving after his license had been canceled.

WEST LAKELAND TOWNSHIP

Animal concern. Police dispatched a deer that had been lying in a yard near Stagecoach Trail and 10th Street with its rear legs injured for two days.

WOODBURY

JAN. 26

Fire lane violation. A verbal warning was issued to the driver of a vehicle parked in the fire lane in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart at 10240 Hudson Road.

JAN. 28

Littering complaint. Police received a report of man throwing a banana peel out the driver's side window in the area of Hudson Road and Radio Drive.
