WEEK OF APRIL 28
Assault. An intoxicated man became involved in an argument with his girlfriend. According to police, he told her she was looking at him wrong and saying the wrong things to him. He grabbed her hair and hit her several times with a closed fist. He also threw and shattered a glass centerpiece. Officers responded to the residence and located the man in a garage. He was arrested and charged with fifth-degree domestic assault. He was placed in a detox facility.
Drunken driving. An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Creek Road. The officer stopped the vehicle and told the driver he had been stopped for speeding.The man exhibited signs of intoxication. The officer asked him how much he had to drink, and the man replied, "Enough to get a DWI." He failed field-sobriety evaluations and was arrested for drunken driving.
APRIL 28
Theft. About $350 worth of fuel was stolen from a semi truck in the 400 block of Adams Avenue S.
APRIL 23
Theft. A set of golf clubs, valued at $1,300, was stolen from a vehicle in the 16000 block of Main Street. The vehicle also sustained about $450 worth of damage.

Burglary. A burglary was reported in the 4100 block of Sunnyside Road.
APRIL 23
Property damage. A pop machine in a pool area was burned in the 9900 block of Excelsior Boulevard.
APRIL 26
Burglary. A burglary was reported in the 500 block of Sunnyside Lane. Two pair of shoes and $25 were stolen. Entry was gained through a window.
Auto theft. A PT Cruiser was stolen from the 900 block of 11th Avenue S.
APRIL 29
Theft. A man threw his shoes on the roof of a townhouse in the 1100 block of Wagon Wheel Road. The man wanted to pursue theft charges, but police advised him that it was not a theft.
MAY 1
Theft. A customer dropped off her car for service in the 300 block of Mainstreet, but when she brought it home, she noticed the wheels on her car were not the same wheels that were on it when she took it in for service.
MAY 2
Theft. Someone took money from Star Wok, 1428 Mainstreet. Police located the money, which was dropped in the 1500 block of Mainstreet. The money was a donation for leukemia.
Theft. A statue of a llama was stolen from the 1000 block of Mainstreet.
MAY 4
Auto theft. A stolen vehicle was reported in the 800 block of Mainstreet. The vehicle wasn't actually stolen, the owner forgot where it was parked.
APRIL 27
Welfare. Police were called to check the welfare of a man walking along Hwy. 12 and Hitsman Lane. The man was carrying two duffle bags on a two-wheeler cart. The man said he and his girlfriend had gotten into an argument and that he was headed back home to Texas.
APRIL 29
Theft. An unknown woman dressed in black reportedly entered a garage in the 6600 block of Fox Ridge Circle and stole beer out of the refrigerator.
MAY 3
Disorderly conduct. A bicyclist was hit with a can of Mountain Dew while biking on County Road 6 near County Road 110.
APRIL 26 -- 28
Weapons. Around 10 p.m., officers observed two people riding bicycles without lights or reflectors on the wrong side of the street. One man had a handgun without a permit. Both individuals were arrested.
Kidnapping/terroristic threats. Three passengers reported taking a cab early in the morning from Lake Street and Market Plaza. They reported the cab driver refused to stop at the requested address and instead kept driving at a high speed, then began to threaten the passengers. The cab driver allegedly said he would kill the passengers, eviscerate them and throw them in the river. The passengers said they pleaded with the driver and called 911, and that one passenger jumped from the cab window. Officers arrested the driver, who was violent during the arrest.
Trespassing. Officers were dispatched to a high-rise apartment building in the first block of NE. 2nd Street. Police arrested four people who were attempting to base jump from the top of the building.
APRIL 25
Property damage. A custom mailbox was vandalized in the 9800 block of 102nd Street. Several reports of mailbox vandalism were reported in the area.
APRIL 28
Theft. Lawnmowers, worth approximately $3,800, were stolen from Waconia Farm Supply, 801 S. Hwy. 284.
