Police have found one of two collector cars that were stolen from an Edina garage, but they're still looking for the other vehicle and the crook who took them.
They are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to those responsible for stealing a 1970 Ford Mustang and a 1985 Nissan 300 ZX from a secured underground garage on Cahill Road. One of the thefts occurred in March and the other in April. The culprit most likely entered an open door to gain access to the garage and used a wrecker to tow the vehicles away, Chief Mike Siitari said.
Authorities found the Mustang in Minneapolis on Thursday. It had been stripped of most of its valuables.
As of Friday, the champagne colored Nissan with Minnesota plate LEJ 344 was still missing.
Anybody with information is asked to call Edina police at 952-826-1600.
