Meredith Johnson, 21, of Chanhassen, will match wits two other college students in the first round of the Jeopardy College Championship at 4:30 p.m. today on KARE-TV, Ch. 11
Meredith Johnson, 21, of Chanhassen, will match wits with Brandon Hensley, 19, a student a Caltech, and Gabrielle McMahan, 20, who attends Florida A&M University, in a first-round match up that will air at 4:30 p.m. today on KARE-TV, Ch. 11.
The episodes taped April 11 and 12 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison will air this week and next. Winners of this week's matches along with the next four highest money winners will advance to semifinals to air May 12 to 16.
The nine semifinalists will compete to earn a spot in the two-match championship.
The grand champion will pocket $100,000 the runner-up will earn $50,000, and $25,000 will be awarded to the third place finisher.
Semifinalists will receive $10,000 and those eliminated in the first week will go home with $5,000.
Johnson and the other 14 contestants were chosen from thousands of students who auditioned.
