Still looking for some ideas to celebrate Mom on Sunday? Here are some options.
When: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday
Where: Nokomis Community Center, 2401 E. Minnehaha Pkwy., Minneapolis
Info: This English Mother's Day celebration is for moms and their kids. The children will spend the first hour-and-a-half decorating, making refreshments, and creating party favors and gifts. At noon, the mothers are invited to join the tea party. Wear hats and gloves if desired.
Cost: $10 for supplies
When: Choose from four time slots on Sunday -- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., or 1 to 3 p.m.
Where: Lowry Nature Center in the Carver Park Reserve, 7025 Victoria Drive, Victoria.
Info: Treat mom to a brunch of pancakes served with Lowry Nature Center's award-winning maple syrup, plus sausages, juice, coffee and tea. Dine indoors or outdoors with the birds, trees and wildflowers. Complete the day by taking mom for a walk through the spring wildflowers. Bring binoculars and look for migrating warblers, as May is the peak of the warbler migration through the Twin Cities.

Where: Eastman Nature Center in the Elm Creek Park Preserve, 13351 Elm Creek Road, Dayton.
Info: Take mom for a wildflower walk and search for early spring ephemerals such as rue anemone, cut-leaf toothwort and trout lily, and learn about their medicinal properties. Wrap up the day with a cup of tea or juice and make a flower for mom.

Where: The Marsh, A Center for Balance and Fitness, 15000 Minnetonka Blvd., Minnetonka
Info: Enjoy a brunch buffet with views of the marsh wetlands in bloom. The brunch selections include prime rib, baked grilled-chicken pasta, Belgian waffles with fresh berries, cinnamon swirl French toast, chocolate-covered strawberries, a made-to-order omelet bar, and fresh fruits and salads. The Marsh uses fresh organic ingredients, local farmers and creameries, small purveyors, and local artisans.

Where: Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary, Theodore Wirth Parkway and Glenwood Avenue, Minneapolis
Info: Stroll with mom through the blooming gardens, which will be spiffed up especially for her. Stay until 3 p.m. for another tour -- History of a Heroine -- where a garden naturalist will share tales about the garden's history and the visionary heroine, Eloise Butler, who founded the garden and became its first curator at the turn of the last century.
