Rededication of old town hall in Bloomington

Last update: May 6, 2008 - 7:15 PM

The centerpiece of Bloomington's sesquicentennial party is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Old Town Hall, at the intersection of Old Shakopee Road and Penn Avenue S.

The celebration will feature music and food, historic reenactments, tours of Old Town Hall, a history play, and stories. The formal rededication of the hall will be at 1:15.

Parking is tight, but shuttle buses will run from parking lots at Creekside Community Center, 9801 Penn Av. S., and Bloomington Civic Plaza, 1800 W. Old Shakopee Road. After 12:30, parking will be available at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, across the street from the hall.

Limited handicapped parking will be available at the Werness Brothers Funeral Home next to Old Town Hall.
