Carver

APRIL 5

Suspicious activity. Half a gravestone and bones were found on a property in the 100 block of Bade Lane.

Chaska

WEEK OF APRIL 7

Burglary. A burglary occurred at an apartment complex on Yellow Brick Road. Someone smashed the glass on the front entrance to gain entry to the parking garage. Property was stolen from several parked vehicles. The case is under investigation.

Theft. A man was stopped for traffic violations on Hwy. 212. The man told an officer he was driving home from the airport, where he was employed by an airline catering company. The officer observed about two dozen 50-milliliter bottles of alcohol in plain view inside the vehicle. The man admitted to stealing the bottles, stamped "Airline Sales," from an airline company. He was charged with possession of stolen property and the airport police were contacted regarding the theft.

Property damage. A man and his 15-year-old son were in a truck traveling on County Road 140. The father was driving, while his son was hanging out the window, striking mailboxes with a silicone gel wrist support. A witness called the police. Officers located the truck a short time later. A marijuana pipe was found in the father's possession. He was charged with criminal damage to property, reckless driving, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia. The son was charged with criminal damage to property.

Circle Pines

APRIL 8

Theft. A bike was stolen from the 200 block of Heritage Lane.

Corcoran

APRIL 4

Civil dispute. Corcoran Police reported a civil dispute in the 19800 block of Old Sturbridge Road. A neighbor complained that another neighbor hooked up a hose and was pumping a septic system onto the grass. The reporting party could smell an odor. The suspect stopped the pumping when confronted. The case was turned over to Hennepin County Environmental department for follow-up and septic testing.

APRIL 6

Illegal dumping. Police responded to an illegal dumping complaint in the 9300 block of Bechtold Road. There were several piles of garbage in the middle of the road. Corcoran Public Works was called to remove the garbage.

Eden Prairie

MARCH 31

Burglary. A property in the 9900 block of Bennett Place was burglarized. A camera and gift cards were stolen.

Edina

APRIL 7

Theft. A vehicle was forcibly entered while parked in the 6600 block of France Avenue S. A purse valued at $350 was stolen.

APRIL 7

Theft. A vehicle was forcibly entered while parked in the 6600 block of France Avenue S. A briefcase and camera, value $450, were stolen.

APRIL 10

Burglary. Residents in the 4300 block of Philbrook Lane were awakened by their dogs barking. An unidentified man fled from the house after the resident went to see why the dogs were barking.

Laketown Township

APRIL 6

Theft. Chainsaws, value $800, were stolen from the 9200 block of Laketown Road.

Maple Plain

APRIL 5

Property damage. A decorative lawn cow and bird bath were tipped over in the 1700 block of Main Street. The last time the cow was noticed standing was on April 4.

Medina

MARCH 31

Suspicious person. A man in the 100 block of Prairie Creek Drive saw three men walk through his yard, get into a pickup and drive off. The man was concerned as to why they were there. Officers made contact with the owner of the vehicle, who stated that his son and some friends were at the house next door, and they were playing a joke by covering a car with snow. Officers found no reason for concern.

APRIL 2

Animal complaint. Police received a report of a sick raccoon in a horse barn in the 2100 block of Homestead Trail.

APRIL 4

Fireworks complaint. Possible gunfire was reported in the 2600 block of Morningside Road. Police found that someone was lighting fireworks.

Minneapolis

APRIL 8

Robbery. A woman went into Prime Time Tax Service, 2120 Broadway Av. N., and said she wanted her taxes done. Instead, she assaulted an employee who was on the phone and stole her purse.

APRIL 13

Burglary. Officers were dispatched to a burglary-in-progress called in by a neighbor near 21st Street and Lyndale Avenue. Upon arriving, officers spotted a man who began to run when he saw police. After a four-block foot chase, officers caught the man.

Minnetrista

APRIL 10

Drunken driving. A 23-year-old Minnetonka man was stopped on Hwy. 7 for expired vehicle registration. He was arrested for drunken driving. When a 17-year-old relative responded to pick up the suspect, he also was arrested for underage drinking and driving.

Plymouth

APRIL 5

Property damage. Several houses, cars, street signs and property were damaged with blue spray paint. Damage was reported in the 4800 and 4900 blocks of Valley Forge Lane, and the 10800 and 10900 blocks of 47th Place.

APRIL 6

Property damage. A rock was thrown through the front window of a house in the 11600 block of 37th Avenue.

Theft. A vehicle was stolen in the 13900 block of 53rd Avenue. About 15 golf clubs inside the vehicle were also stolen.

Disorderly conduct. The night auditor from a hotel in the 3000 block of Harbor Lane called police around 3:30 a.m., asking for help to remove occupants of several "problem" rooms. The occupants were having a birthday party and had been causing problems. Police were able to empty the rooms in question, but about 20 occupants of the emptied rooms gathered in the lobby and refused to leave. According to police, there was a near-riot situation. The hotel eventually agreed to let the occupants stay, and they all went back to their rooms.

APRIL 8

Theft. A woman in the 5800 block of N. Teakwood Lane reported she let a friend borrow a professional music keyboard, and now it has been pawned.

Theft. A woman in the 400 block of N. Zinnia Lane witnessed a vehicle taking outgoing mail from her mailbox. Police found the vehicle and arrested four people.

Theft. A gas station in the 10100 block of N. Rockford Road reported a gas drive-off involving a $50.37 sale. Police found the suspect, who was also involved in criminal damage to property at Cub Foods, 4445 Nathan Lane. The suspect threw food around and broke a flower pot valued at $18.99.

Robbinsdale

APRIL 11

Auto theft. A vehicle was stolen from the 3300 block of Grimes Avenue N.

Watertown

APRIL 4

Burglary. A house in the 400 block of Westminster Avenue NW. was burglarized. Video games, valued at $800, were stolen.
