District holds off on fall levy vote

Eastern Carver County Schools won't be holding a referendum to approve operating and technology levies this November.

This summer board members discussed asking voters to renew levies that expire in 2013 and also to approve a levy to help the district fund technology plans and purchases.

But Superintendent Jim Bauck told board members last week that he thought the district needs more time to prepare for a referendum and advised them to wait.
