Blood On the Tracks Live, a salute to the music of Bob Dylan, will be presented in two concerts tonight and Saturday in the west metro.
Tonight's performance is scheduled for 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Maple Grove Town Green at 7991 Main St. in Maple Grove. Saturday's, also set for 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., will be presented at the Veterans Memorial Amphitheater in St. Louis Park's Wolfe Park, at 3700 Monterey Drive.
The Blood On the Tracks Live concerts are free and feature area musicians. This marks the fourth year that the event has been presented at the St. Louis Park location and the second year at Maple Grove. "Blood On the Tracks" is a favorite Dylan album for many, and a 2001 reunion of the players from the original 1974 recording session inspired the formation of Blood On the Tracks Live.
The event will promote Guitars for Vets, which provides basic music instruction and instruments for veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder. See www. guitars4vets.org for more information.
