Man pinned, killed by boat in Minnetrista

Minnetrista police said Monday that a man was killed Sunday by a runaway boat and trailer.
The man, who has not been identified, was crushed as he tried to stop a boat and trailer that rolled down a driveway after being unhooked from a vehicle.
Police said they found the man unconscious and pinned beneath the trailer about 8:30 p.m. at 3535 County Rd. 44 in Minnetrista. In addition to Minnetrista's fire department, crews from nearby Mound and St. Bonifacius responded.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Hennepin County medical examiner's office is investigating.
