A 6-year-old boy who drowned Friday evening in a Hopkins pool was identified Saturday as Nicholas Janzen of St. Paul, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office.

Police said that Nicholas was in a supervised pool at a birthday party at Oak Ridge Country Club. After he was spotted unresponsive by a lifeguard, country club employees and members performed CPR on him.

The medical examiner ruled the drowning was accidental.
