A reward is being offered for information about whoever fired shots twice recently, striking the Hollywood Township Hall in Carver County.

In addition, a township employee found rifle shells in the family's mailbox months ago, officials said Tuesday.

In response to what the Sheriff's Office is classifying as "acts of terrorism," the reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.

"It is important that [whoever is] responsible for these acts is apprehended before someone is injured," said Sheriff Jim Olson.

The first shooting incident occurred between 3:30 p.m. Nov. 16 and 7:15 a.m. Nov. 17, the Sheriff's Office said. The bullet went through a township hall window.

It happened again sometime between the evening of Dec. 12 and 2 p.m. on Dec. 15.

The rifle shells were found in the mailbox over the summer.

Hollywood Township is in the northwest corner of the county and has about 1,100 residents.

Anyone with information about any of these incidents is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 952-361-1212 or, after regular business hours, at 952-361-1231.
