A Carver County middle-school bus collided with a car Friday morning, leaving one or more students with minor injuries and the driver of the smaller vehicle hurt, as well, school officials said.
The crash at Pioneer Trail and Acorn Road in Chaska occurred about 7:10 a.m. near the entrance to Pioneer Ridge Middle School, according to the Eastern Carver County School District.
"A few students experienced minor injuries and were cared for at the scene," the district said in a notice on its website. "The driver of the vehicle was transported by ambulance for medical care."
The crash also caused a slight delay in the busing schedule throughout the district, the notice added.
Chaska Police Sgt. Mike Duzan said one to three students were hurt among the 36 youngsters on the bus.
The bus, operated by Positive Connections, and the car collided while traveling in opposite directions on Pioneer Trail, Duzan said.
