A 32-year-old Blooming-ton man who taught his 15-year-old nephew to roll marijuana joints -- and posted a video of it online -- will serve 20 days in jail and two years on probation, a Dakota County judge ruled this week.

Khari Jerome Anse Tillman Sr. pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor for showing his nephew how to make "blunts" and getting stoned with him, all in videos posted on YouTube.

Authorities said Tillman had made four videos, including one titled "Free Class" in which he instructs his nephew how to make a "blunt" -- a hollowed cigar filled with marijuana. In another called "Karma," he and the youth smoke a blunt.

The incidents allegedly happened between April 2009 and April 2010 in Rosemount.

Nearly a year ago, a police officer and Dakota County child-protection worker went to the Rosemount home where the two were living and quickly recognized the kitchen from the one shown in the videos, court documents say.

Tillman told them that after his sister died, he had taken guardianship of his nephew to save him "from a life of drugs and crime," a complaint says.

Tuesday, Tillman pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a child and had three charges dismissed, including child neglect.

Dakota County District Judge Richad Spicer credited Tillman with four days already served in jail.
