Police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck that fled after hitting an 85-year-old woman Thursday night as she tried to cross a street in Bloomington.

VICTIM: Dorothy Ann Hanson, who lives on 10th Avenue, was trying to cross Old Shakopee Road at 10th Avenue about 7:30 p.m., when she was hit by the pickup heading east on Old Shakopee. The driver didn't stop, police said.

Hanson, who was walking home after visiting her husband in a nearby care facility, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where she died late Thursday.

VEHICLE: Police described the vehicle as a 1999-2002 Chevrolet Silverado, possibly black, navy blue or dark green, that sustained front-end damage on the driver's side front headlight and trim area. Pieces of the truck were found at the scene.
