An electrician who worked at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was found dead inside a concourse ceiling just after noon Saturday.
Airport spokesman Pat Hogan said the electrician's family had called authorities Friday night because he hadn't returned home from work.
Airport police and Hennepin County sheriff's deputies searched the airport with bloodhounds. His body was found in an area with a lot of utility equipment in the ceiling of Concourse E at the Lindbergh Terminal (Terminal 1), Hogan said.
An investigation is underway, but no foul play is suspected, Hogan said.
A woman who answered the phone at the electrician's Coon Rapids home confirmed his name was Bob Germundson, 52.
Hogan said he had worked at the airport for several years and was an employee of Premier Electric in Brooklyn Park, a company contracted to do airport work.
