The two lived together and had an argument before the attack, police said.
A 59-year-old St. Paul man was arrested Saturday after his 50-year-old brother was stabbed to death in the home they shared in St. Paul, police said.
St. Paul police and medics were called to the home in the 1200 block of Charles Avenue just after 7 a.m. on a report that a man had been stabbed and that the attacker was still at the address.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and his brother was arrested and booked into the Ramsey County jail, police said. Their names have not been released.
Police say a preliminary investigation determined that some sort of dispute preceded the stabbing.
Police responded to a second, unrelated sibling stabbing around 6 p.m. in the 1600 block of Marion Avenue. In the second case, the victim, an adult man, suffered serious, but not life-threatening, stab wounds from a knife wielded by his sister during a domestic dispute, police said. He was taken to the hospital. The woman was arrested. No other details were avaialble.
