Three people are facing charges of first-degree aggravating robbery in Ramsey County District Court in connection with a string of armed robberies at several Subway restaurants, a tanning salon, a gas station and a bank in the north-metro Twin Cities suburbs.

James J. Rademacher, 21, of Little Canada, is charged with three counts, Rhonda L. Anderson, 42, of Little Canada, is charged with five counts, and Steve D. Simmons, 25, of Minneapolis, is charged with four counts.

The criminal complaints said the robberies were committed July 2 at a Subway at 165 County Road E. in Shoreview; Oct. 21 at a Sinclair station at 228 Little Canada Road in Little Canada; Nov. 2 at a Subway at 1048 E. Hwy. 96 in Vadnais Heights; Nov. 8 at a Subway at 1275 County Road D in Maplewood; Nov. 11 at the Perfect Tan at 2686 Rice St. in Little Canada, and Nov. 17 at Klein Bank at 3070 Coon Rapids Blvd. in Coon Rapids. Although the robbers displayed a gun at each of the robberies, no one was injured.

Simmons and Rademacher told police they had committed the robberies, either alone or together. Anderson told police she had driven the men to the locations and knew they were committing robberies "about 80 percent of the time when she drove them around."

Court dates for the three have not been set.
