Fund set up for slain St. Paul soldier's family

Last update: November 12, 2009 - 12:01 AM

A memorial fund has been established to assist the family of St. Paul soldier Kham See Xiong, who was among those slain at Fort Hood in Texas last week.

Community of Peace Academy Charter School in St. Paul, from which Xiong and his wife graduated in 2004, is coordinating donation collection in the memory of Xiong, who leaves behind wife Shoua Her and their three children.

Xiong, who had been preparing to deploy to Afghanistan, was their sole provider. Her and the children had moved to Texas, but are returning to St. Paul.

For more information, contact James DeLong, Community of Peace Academy's director of development, at 651-776-5151 or at JamesD@cpa.charter.k12.mn.us.
