Photographer Alec Soth, who has a studio in the area, celebrated St. Paul’s Creative Enterprise Zone, around University and Raymond avenues. One of his images was unveiled Tuesday on a billboard at University Avenue and Vandalia Street to mark the zone, which aims to preserve and promote the area’s historic and creative character. The image, of a clothesline on a Mississippi houseboat, is one of Soth’s best-known photos.
