Hotel worker charged with assaulting female guest

As a woman lay quietly in her hotel room bed, a man assigned to clean her room put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and came in and sexually assaulted her.
That's according to a criminal complaint filed Monday in Hennepin County District Court charging Yawokuma Adjoh-Folly, 23, with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
The complaint alleges that Adjoh-Folly entered the woman's room at the Double Tree Hotel in Minneapolis on the morning of April 23. After she asked him to leave, Adjoh-Folly opened the door, placed a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door then closed the door, but did not leave.
Adjoh-Folly, of St. Paul, then pinned the woman down and assaulted her for five to 10 minutes and asked her several times if she wanted money.
The victim eventually was able to get free and reported the incident to hotel management and Minneapolis Police, the complaint said.
Adjoh-Folly admitted going into the room to clean it, but that nothing else happened.
Adjoh-Folly posted bail and was released from the Hennepin County Jail late Tuesday night. He is due in court on May 29. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison, a fine between $6,000 and $20,000, or both.
