A former St. Paul high school band teacher who was ordered to stay away from a student with whom he'd had a sexual relationship is being held on a probation violation.
Joseph A. Tucker, 29, allegedly was seen with the former student, now 18, authorities said Friday. He pleaded guilty Aug. 3 to fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and later was found in the girl's bedroom.
Tucker got a stayed sentence of 18 months in prison and was ordered to serve three months in the workhouse.
It's not clear when or why Tucker and the former student had contact. He was arrested Thursday afternoon.
