St. Paul police on Friday released an age-enhanced photo of Hang Lee, who has been missing almost 18 years.

Lee was 17 when she was last seen in January 1993. She was picked up by a convicted sex offender with whom she met for a job interview.

Police reported in 1993 that the man offered Lee an office job, which is the same way he contacted a 16-year-old girl in 1987 before raping her. That same year, the man used the same ploy to contact a woman who turned out to be an undercover officer.

He was released from prison in 1991 after serving time for two rapes and was a suspect in several other sexual assaults.

The man drove Lee to his business in the 900 block of Iroquois Avenue in St. Paul. An eyewitness at the interview said that she, the man and Lee left the business afterward. The witness said she was dropped off at her home, leaving the man and Lee alone. Lee was never seen or heard from again. Police said foul play is suspected.

Police asked that anyone with information about Lee call 651-266-5650 or the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office tip line at 651-266-9558.
