Continued: St. Paul schools hold off on changing Homecroft

Linwood A-plus Elementary and Monroe Community School will also become a dual campus, K-8 school -- focusing on the arts. While much remains to be done, including deciding where to split the grades, Linwood Principal Steve Unowsky said he is excited about the possibilities of expanding a hugely popular and successful program.

Phalen Lake Elementary School will become the city's first Hmong magnet school, focusing on Hmong language and culture and offering free transportation to families living east of I-35E.
