Theft. A man came to the police station to report the theft of his wallet. But the theft did not occur in Apple Valley -- it happened while he was on a train in France. He said he didn't have time to report it to police while in France.

MAY 19

Theft. A resident in the 8300 block of 144th Street reported that she looked out her bedroom window in the early morning hours of May 19 and saw a stranger getting out of her car and walking away. She waited 12 hours before contacting police. She said that nothing was stolen.

BURNSVILLE

JUNE 4

Burglary. A burglary was reported in the 13200 block of Fremont Avenue S.

JUNE 3

Theft. A Faribault woman, 18, was arrested for shoplifting in the 14300 block of Burnhaven Drive.

JUNE 2

Theft. Police arrested a St. Paul man, 26, in connection with a theft in the 1700 block of W. County Road 42.

EAGAN

JUNE 1

Theft. A resident of the 4600 block of Westwood Lane reported that mail had been stolen.

Harassment. An employee of the Homestead Studio Suites Hotel, 3015 Denmark Av., reported that a group of magazine salespeople who had recently been kicked out of the hotel were making harassing phone calls to the hotel and threatening staff members.

Theft. A Droid cell phone was reportedly stolen off a table during an event at the Royal Cliff event center, 2280 Cliff Road.

Harassment. A caller in the 1100 block of Westbury Path reported that her ex-boyfriend was phoning her sister and asking if she would sleep with him for $3,000.

HASTINGS

MAY 24

Crime against court. Hastings police responded to a dispatch call to arrest a 26-year-old Hastings woman on a probation violation in the 100 block of 2nd Street.

Inver Grove Heights

MAY 24

Disorderly conduct. Officers responded to a reported disturbance in the 1500 block of E. 86th Court. A 44-year-old Inver Grove Heights man was arrested for harassment, stalking with the intent to injure and disorderly conduct.

Lakeville

MAY 21

Theft. Responding to a shoplifting call from security at a large retail store, officers found that the suspect had fled on foot just before their arrival. However, the man had filled out an application for a fishing license listing his name and address just before the theft occurred.

MENDOTA HEIGHTS

JUNE 8

Theft. A laptop and a wallet were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 2100 block of Dodd Road.

JUNE 6

Theft. A caller reported that her cell phone and wallet had been stolen during the graduation ceremony at Visitation High School, 2455 Visitation Drive.

JUNE 2

Theft. Somebody broke a vehicle window and stole a purse in the 1600 block of Lilydale Road, near the Big Rivers Trail.

ROSEMOUNT

JUNE 8

Burglary. A burglary was reported at a business near E. 152nd Street and Blaine Avenue.

JUNE 6

Theft. A vehicle was reported stolen in the 15700 block of Cardinal Circle.

JUNE 5

Assault. Officers were called to the 12800 block of W. Bengal Av. about a disturbance. Six young people were cited for underage drinking, including one 17-year-old girl who was also cited for disorderly conduct, obstructing the legal process and fourth-degree assault on a police officer.

SOUTH ST. PAUL

JUNE 22

Burglary. A delivery man found a door kicked in at a house in the 1600 block of Evans Avenue. Police found the home empty of most furnishings and property; some remodeling appeared to have been taking place. An officer found out who owned the house and planned to contact him to see if anything was missing.

JUNE 18

Disturbance. An officer cited the owner of a house in the 200 block of 14th Avenue S. for disturbing the peace after a report of a loud party. The occupant told the officer that he didn't care about the citation and would continue to have loud parties. The next day, a neighbor reported that a radio had been left playing loudly in the yard of the same house; the officer arrived to find nobody around, and he turned off the radio and mailed a second citation. Later in the day, a neighbor reported that the radio had again been turned on and left unattended. This time, the officer took the radio and left a third citation on the door.

JUNE 15

Theft. A woman reported that her check card, which had been stolen from her vehicle, was used at Kaposia Convenience, 1214 Southview Blvd. The store had video of the person using the card, and an officer got the license plate number of the person's vehicle and traced it to a house in the 600 block of 1st Avenue S. A man at the address admitted having used the stolen card, police said. The officer also found a vehicle in the driveway that had been stolen in St. Paul.

Theft. A GPS unit valued at $140 was stolen from a vehicle in the 2400 block of Heimel Street.

West St. Paul

JUNE 21

Property damage. A caller saw two women hitting a glass door with a crowbar at about 6 a.m. at Booze Mart No. 2, 1111 S. Robert St. No entry was made, but the window was cracked.

Burglary. Somebody broke into BP Gas, 1820 S. Robert St., cut the phone lines and stole a safe.

JUNE 15

Animal complaint. A Minnesota Energy employee reported that two large pit bulls came after him in a yard in the 400 block of E. Haskell Street. He fended them off with a night stick. The owner would not come to the door when an officer arrived. The resident was cited for having dogs at large.

Theft. Two women were arrested for stealing shoes and other merchandise from KMart, 50 Signal Hills Drive.

Noise complaint. A caller in the 800 block of Allen Avenue reported that a neighbor was playing loud, profane music. The caller said she had tried to talk to the neighbor without success, so she had reacted by pointing her own boom box at the house and playing loud Christian music. Police spoke to the neighbor, who said she was mad because the caller's children were playing loudly outside. She "wished to argue about her God-given right to sleep at 10 a.m. with her windows open," according to the report. The officer counseled both parties to handle their differences as adults.
