Police seek public's help in identifying robbers

Police in Minneapolis and Burnsville on Wednesday asked the public's help in finding suspects in unrelated armed robberies last week.

THE FIRST ROBBERY: Three men robbed a Jimmy John's sandwich shop on Cliff Road in Burnsville about 9 p.m. last Thursday as employees were closing.

One of the men, wearing a black sweatshirt, jeans and a white baseball cap, pointed a gun at workers.

An accomplice in a red hooded sweatshirt went behind the counter and took money from the cash register. Police said a third man wore a black hooded sweatshirt or jacket.

SECOND ROBBERY: Minneapolis police are looking for two men who robbed a Walgreens pharmacy at 4323 Chicago Av. S. at 9:20 a.m. on March 13. They held a gun on the clerk and escaped with prescription medications.

CAN YOU HELP? Crime Stoppers of Minnesota is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to their arrest and conviction. Walgreens may add to the reward. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. Tips can be anonymous.
