APPLE VALLEY

DEC. 31

Vehicle assistance. At 11:51 p.m., an officer went to 148th Street and Diamond Path on a report of a vehicle that was stuck in a snow bank, marking the last call of 2009, and the city's 41,049th incident of the year that required some sort of police action.

JAN. 13

Disorderly conduct and drugs. In the 100 block of Gardenview Drive officers arrested a man, 19, from Apple Valley for possession of marijuana, trespassing, disorderly conduct, and obstructing the legal process.

BURNSVILLE

JAN. 5

Burglary. A 30-year-old Burnsville man was arrested near 100 Hwy. 13 for second-degree burglary and damage to property in excess of $1,000.

Burglary. A man, 20, from Burnsville was arrested near the 13800 block of Susan Lane for burglary of an occupied dwelling.

JAN. 14

Drugs. Three men -- a 25-year-old from Apple Valley and two 20-year-olds from Lakeville and Apple Valley -- were arrested for possession of cocaine in the 13700 block of Nicollet Avenue S.

Theft. A man, 28, from St. Hilaire, Minn., was arrested for shoplifting at 14301 Burnhaven Drive.

Theft. A woman, 29, of Minneapolis was arrested for shoplifting at 12600 Frontage Road W.

 

FARMINGTON

JAN. 6

Incident. A Farmington man age 20 was arrested in the 5800 block of E. 180th Street for false imprisonment and domestic assault.

 

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS

JAN. 4

Traffic. A 39-year-old Inver Grove Heights man was arrested near the 7800 block of Corey Path for expired motor vehicle registration, no proof of insurance and no plates.

Assault. Near the 5000 block of Babcock Trail, an Inver Grove Heights man, 31, was arrested for domestic assault.

JAN. 5

Drugs. A man, 29, from Inver Grove Heights was arrested in the 3800 block of 73rd Avenue on charges of possession and sale of cocaine for the second time within a 90-day period, a felony.

 

PRIOR LAKE

JAN. 14

Domestic. Police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 16500 block of Franklin Trail, where they arrested a Prior Lake man, 40, for second-degree assault with a weapon and domestic assault.

Criminal sexual conduct. Police received a disturbance complaint from the 3100 block of Little Crow Drive. They arrested a 54-year-old Prior Lake man on charges of fifth-degree assault, fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct, and disorderly conduct.

JAN. 16

Traffic. A Prior Lake man, 46, was arrested for fourth-degree drunken driving, improper lane use and an improper left turn near NE. Eagle Creek Avenue and NE. Eau Claire Trail.

Rosemount

JAN. 11

Drugs. A woman,18, was arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia at the intersection of 150th Street and Diamond Path.

Domestic. A 20-year-old Farmington man was arrested for violation of a no-contact order for protection near the 400 block of W. 156th Street.

JAN. 11

Drugs. A woman, 21, from Cottage Grove was cited for speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia at the intersection of E. 145th Street and Clayton Avenue.

JAN. 8

Toddler takes a field trip. Officers received a report of a young child walking southbound in the median on Dakota Avenue at 154th Street. Officers located a boy and asked him his age and where he was going. He said he was 3 and that he was going to school to get his brothers. The officers where able to retrace his steps to his home, through a series of questions and finger-pointing, until he saw his house. His mother had been sleeping and unaware that he had left.

Traffic. An officer clocked a vehicle going 61 in a 45-mile-per-hour zone at S. Hwy. 13 and W. 150th Street. A man, 34, from Prior Lake was arrested for drunken driving and speeding.

JAN. 9

Traffic. An officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle for weaving in its lane at W. 126th Street and Creek View Avenue. A 20-year-old woman from New Prague was cited for underage drinking and a man, 21, from Bloomington was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

JAN. 10

Traffic. Near the intersection of S. Kipling Avenue and W. 126th Street a 46-year-old man from Savage was jailed for drunken driving after an officer stopped him for poor driving behavior and expired tabs.

Shakopee

JAN. 8

Traffic. Police arrested a man, 40, of Burnsville near S. Marschall Road and Hwy. 169 for failure to transfer his motor vehicle title, attempting to evade taxation and suspended registration.

JAN. 9

Disorderly conduct. A 31-year-old Mound man was arrested in the 900 block of E. 1st Avenue for obstructing the legal process and disorderly conduct.

JAN. 15

Obstructing with a car. A woman, 44, of Shakopee was cited in the 1200 block of E. Shakopee Avenue for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, obstructing with force, semaphore violation, inattentive driving and failure to obey a lawful order.
