Apple valley

DEC. 12

Theft. Police were investigating the theft of over $600 worth of baby formula from Rainbow Foods. According to police, a man ran out of the store with a shopping cart loaded with baby formula and then threw the items into a waiting car at 3:39 p.m.

BURNSVILLE

DEC. 11

Theft. A 19-year-old man from Hastings was arrested for the theft of $875 in gift cards and $600 in cash from a house in the 14000 block of Aldrich Avenue S.

DEC. 26

Traffic. Near the 14100 block of Irving Avenue S., a Burnsville man was arrested for drunken driving.

DEC. 12

Accident. A man came to the Police Department to report a domestic that had occurred with his girlfriend in the 300 block of S. Broadway Street. Officers spoke with both parties and found that there was no clear aggressor in the incident. Both parties were advised and the man agreed to leave for the night.

DEC. 18

Suspicious people. Officers were called for a report of two people sitting in a car smoking marijuana on Meadow Lane. The officers spoke with the driver of the vehicle, who said he was just smoking a cigarette. A police dog was present and did not alert to the odor of narcotics.

DEC. 19

Fight. Officers were called about a fight at a business in the 200 block of S. Broadway Street. The officers discovered that two men had been involved in a fistfight. Witnesses stated that the two were mutual combatants. One was issued a citation for disorderly conduct and released to a sober party. The other was jailed for disorderly conduct, underage drinking and possession of a false ID.

Fight. Officers responded to a report of a loud party at a residence on Meadow Lane. A large group of people was leaving as officers arrived. The resident and his guests were advised of the complaint and warned that further contacts that evening could result in a ticket.

Lakeville

DEC. 16

Accident. Officers arrived on the scene of a crash at the intersection of 170th Street and Cedar Avenue, where they found that a vehicle had been stopped at the intersection, waiting for the light to change to green, and a second car had rear-ended it. The driver of the rear vehicle was arrested for drunken driving. When the officers asked the driver if he knew where he was, he looked at them and said of course he knew where he was -- he was in Golden Valley and on his way to Plymouth.

PRIOR LAKE

DEC. 20

Drinking. Near NE. Eagle Creek Avenue and NE. Grainwood Circle, an officer noticed a suspicious man walking in the road. He appeared to be intoxicated. The man, 20, of Savage was cited for underage drinking.

Traffic. Near S. Hwy. 13 and W. 152nd Street, police made a routine traffic stop on a minor violation and arrested a woman, 22, from Eden Prairie for third-degree drunken driving.

Hit-and-run property damage. In the 17100 block of Toronto Avenue SE., a complainant reported that his mailbox had been knocked down.

Burglary. Police responding to a report of a disturbance in the 16600 block of Lyons Avenue SE. arrested a man, 20, from Prior Lake on a charge of first-degree burglary for entering a garage and stealing liquor valued at $48.

DEC. 21

Good samaritan. Near County Road 42 and Canterbury Road, a Scott County snowplow driver stopped to report an injured deer in the middle of the road. He got out and moved the injured deer to the shoulder and got back into his truck. The deer then ran off into the woods.

DEC. 23

Theft. Police took a report of a theft from an unlocked vehicle in the 5400 block of SE. Fawn Meadow Circle. A duffel bag and its contents, total value $1,245, were taken.

DEC. 24

Assault. Police arrested a man, 45, from Prior Lake for fifth-degree domestic assault in the 5400 block of SE. Bounty Street.

Rosemount

DEC. 20

Disorderly conduct. Five men from Rosemount and a man and woman from Hastings, ranging in age from 22 to 27, were arrested for either disorderly conduct or obstructing the legal process in the 14800 block of S. Robert Trail.

DEC. 24

Disturbing the peace. Police responding to a disturbance call in the 14700 block of Camero Lane arrested a man, 37, of Rosemount for disturbing the peace and interfering with a 911 call.

Trespassing. Police arrested a man, 27, of Hastings after responding to a suspicious person call near E. 140 Street and Clayton Avenue. He was driving a recreational vehicle within the city limits.

DEC. 26

Traffic. A 46-year-old man from Owatonna, Minn., was stopped near W. 150th Street and Biscayne Avenue after fleeing police. Upon interviewing the man, the officer realized he had been drinking. The man refused testing and was subsequently charged with first-degree drunken driving for refusal to submit to testing, driving after revocation, and fleeing a police officer.
