Wolf Larson has resigned from his position as executive director of the Burnsville Performing Arts Center, effective Dec. 31. In a news release, Larson said he and his family will be moving to Madrid, where his wife has accepted a job.

Larson is employed by VenuWorks, the company hired by the city to run the publicly owned facility, which opened in January.

Carl St. Clair, VenuWorks vice president of operations and projects, will be interim executive director, according to VenuWorks President Steve Peters.

"Carl has extensive theater management experience," Peters said. "He has served in interim capacities for VenuWorks at other performing arts facilities, including Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines and the Topeka Performing Arts Center."

Peters said he expects to have a permanent replacement by March 1.
