Dumping. Police received a report that a man was seen dumping brush out of the rear of his truck into the vacant lot behind Menards. The vehicle was stopped just south of County Road 42. By that time, the man had realized that he had been seen, loaded the brush back into his truck and was on his way home to Lakeville. He was ticketed.
OCT. 13
Drunk. Officers responded to a report that a man was sitting on the curb in front of his house talking to himself. When officers arrived they found a very intoxicated man who wanted officers to drive him to Washington, D.C., so that he could discuss the country's military involvement in the Middle East with President Obama. Instead he was taken to detox.
OCT. 14
Probation. A Burnsville man, 24, was arrested near his home in the 13900 block of Plymouth Avenue for a probation violation.
OCT. 16
Lying to police. Prior to police arriving at the scene of a minor property damage motor vehicle crash, one of the drivers had left the scene. Police were able to track him down from his plate number. During questioning he identified himself by giving his brother's name in an effort to conceal his identity. The officers quickly determined who he was and in addition to a misdemeanor traffic charge, he was given a gross misdemeanor charge for giving false information to a police officer.

Assault. Officers arrested a man, 41, in the 12500 block of Portland Avenue S. for interfering with an emergency 911 call, domestic assault and disorderly conduct.

Assault. Officers arrested a man, 27, near the 4000 block of Diamond Point for third-degree and fifth-degree assault.
OCT. 12
Drunken driving. A driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol after almost causing an accident with a marked patrol car at the intersections of W. 2nd Street and N. Creek Lane. She was arrested and taken to the Scott County jail.
OCT. 16
Traffic hazard. An officer was called for a traffic hazard in the area of Aberdeen Avenue and Sunset Drive. It was reported that a child on a bike was pulling another child in a wagon, creating a traffic hazard. The officer located the children and advised them to not play in the street.
OCT. 17
Verbal. An officer was called for a disturbance in the 400 block of N. Wood Street. Upon arrival, the officer discovered that a verbal domestic incident had taken place between a man and a woman. They were advised.
OCT. 18
Domestic. A woman reported a domestic assault on the 100 block of Hillside Avenue. The suspect was stopped driving away from the home where the assault occurred and was arrested for 5th degree domestic assault, interfering with a 911 call and 4th degree drunken driving.
Domestic. An officer was called to a verbal domestic on the 400 block of N. Wood Street. A man and a woman were advised.
OCT. 9
Theft. Officers took a report of a theft of a pair of jeans, a wallet, and an iPhone in the 1400 block of S. Maple Street.
OCT. 17
Traffic. An officer ticketed a man, 27, near Hwy. 3 and W. Woodley Street for no proof of insurance, as the driver and not the owner of the vehicle, and driving after revocation.
Traffic. Near Honeylocust Drive and Jefferson Road, a man, 26, was cited for not wearing a seat belt.
OCT. 18
Traffic. A woman, 37, from Rosemount was stopped at the intersection of W. 160th Street and Cedar Avenue and arrested for drunken driving.
OCT. 8
Disturbing the peace. A woman in the 14400 block of S. Sumter Avenue reported receiving harassing phone calls from a business. The business was advised to have the number removed from their call list.
Property damage. A church at 5532 Hanrehan Lake Boulevard reported boulders and signs being moved around and skid marks left in the parking lot.
OCT. 8
Disturbing the peace. At the intersection of Lynn Avenue S. and W. 128th Street, a 20-year-old Savage man was cited for underage drinking after an officer approached his vehicle, which was stopped in the middle of the road.
OCT. 10
Traffic. At S. Dakota Avenue and W. 135th Street, an officer observed a car fail to stop for a stop sign. A 27-year-old Bloomington woman was arrested for drunken driving.
Theft. Near 135th and Monterrey Avenue S., a man reported that someone stole CDs from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in his driveway. An apparent attempt to enter a locked vehicle nearby was unsuccessful.
OCT. 11
Domestic assault. Near the 14900 block of Credit View Drive, a 34-year-old Savage man was arrested for second-degree domestic assault after threatening his wife with a knife.
