Lakeville driver identified as crash fatality

A 32-year-old Lakeville man was identified as the person killed over the weekend when his vehicle struck an intersection signal light in Minneapolis, authorities said Tuesday.
Matthew J. Severson died shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday at E. 31st Street and Nicollet Avenue S., according to the Hennepin Count medical examiner's office.
One other person in the vehicle, Lisa Fitch, of Lakeville, was hospitalized, police said. Fitch, 32, is in serious condition.
