The Music in Kelley Park series will begin its 2015 season Friday evening with the band Pho. Free concerts will be held each Friday except July 3 through Aug. 7. They will take place from 6 to 9 p.m., and food and beverages will be available to purchase.

City puts out call to all shutterbugs

Submissions are being accepted for the fifth annual Rosemount Photo Contest. They must get to the city's Parks and Recreation Office by 4:30 p.m. June 12.

The contest is open to all and is looking for entries in these categories: nature, lifestyle, enhanced/altered, youth 17 and under, "Give us your best shot," and photos taken in Rosemount.

Parent-child pottery classes available

Children age 6 and older and their parents can create Raku pottery at a class from 5 to 9 p.m. June 18 at the Lakeville Arts Center, 20965 Holyoke Av.

Participants will glaze a pre-made vase and watch the firing process done by a trained instructor. The fee covers the cost of the vase as well as hot dogs and s'mores for families to cook over a camp fire while the pottery bakes in the kiln. Attendees are asked to bring their own beverages.

Children's theater camps schedule set

The Prairie Fire Children's Theater is conducting three weeklong camps for children ages 7 and older this summer at the Lakeville Arts Center, 20965 Holyoke Av.

On the first day of camp, children will audition for parts in a play. They'll then spend the week rehearsing and put on two performances at the end of the week.

Prairie Fire Theater will provide all instruction, costumes, music and scenery necessary for the play.

The cost for each week of camp is $80. Camps are limited to 42 children.

The camps and plays are:

• Pinocchio, #8047. June 15 to 19. Auditions for specific parts will be from 1 to 3 p.m. the first day. Children need to stay the entire two hours and some of the characters may need to stay longer.

The rehearsal schedule for the rest of the week will depend on the part the child receives. Specific schedules will be passed out after auditions. Rehearsal times will fall between 12:30 and 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Rehearsal on Friday will begin in the late afternoon and continue until show time at 7 p.m. The second performance is at 10 a.m. Saturday.

• Beauty and the Beast, #8048. July 13 to 17. Performances will be at 7 p.m. July 17 and 10 a.m. July 18.

• Sleeping Beauty, #8049. Aug. 10 to 14. Performances at 7 p.m. Aug. 14 and 10 a.m. Aug. 15.
