The Lakeville Area Arts Center, Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota and Ballet Royale Minnesota are teaming up to present "Art in Motion" at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 27 at the Arts Center, 20965 Holyoke Av.

The performance will feature dance and, through a collaboration with local artists, dancers interpreting selected pieces of artwork.

A complimentary coffee hour for audience members to meet the artists and dancers will be held after the show.

Craft group to meet Monday at library

Men and women at all skill levels will meet Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. at the South St. Paul Library to create and share their handmade knitting, crochet and other crafts projects. Participants are asked to bring their own supplies. The library is at 106 3rd Av. N.

Learn to make fused-glass pendants

Adults and children 14 and over are invited to a class on March 7 at the Eagan Art House on how to make multilayered fused-glass pendants. The class is 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Participants will learn about glass selections, cutting, design and assembly. The class fee of $49 includes all tools, supplies and firing for 10 pendants. Final products will be ready for pickup about two weeks after the class.

2015 photo contest: Give it a shot

The Rosemount Area Arts Council and Rosemount Parks and Recreation are sponsoring the fifth annual Rosemount Photo Contest.

The contest welcomes photos reflecting all seasons in these six categories:

• Rosemount, a photo taken in a recognizable location;

• Nature;

• Lifestyle, photos taken of people, activities or city scenes;

• Enhanced or altered by software;

• Youth, ages 17 and under;

• "Give us your best shot," a photo of anything, taken anywhere.
