The body of a woman missing in New Ulm, Minn., for five days was found Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

Karen Schroeder, 51, left her home on foot Monday. Her snow-covered body was found by searchers making a third sweep along the Cottonwood River, in the woods surrounding Schell's Brewery, according to police.

About 80 people searched for Schroeder on Saturday after police put out a call for help. Police and K-9 officers also searched the area.

The cause of death has not been released. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, police said.
