Artists seeking an audience are invited to submit their work for Dakota County’s fourth community art exhibit.

The works are to be displayed in county buildings beginning in October. The submission deadline is Aug. 29.

Original, two-dimensional art can be submitted in one or both of the following categories:

• Critters of the Minnesota Zoo; and

• Natural wonders of the parks of Dakota County.

Artists must be at least 8 years old and live in Dakota County.

Artwork must feature subjects within Dakota County, and is limited to 36 inches by 36 inches, prepared for hanging on a wall.

Submissions are limited to one per artist per theme and must meet the criteria outlined by the Dakota County Public Art Citizen Advisory Committee. Visit www.dakotacounty.us, and search “art exhibit.”

The committee will review submissions and make a recommendation to the Dakota County Board of Commissioners, which will select the artwork to be exhibited.

For information, artists can call 651-438-4286 or e-mail jean.erickson@co.dakota.mn.us.
