Ruth Ann Willius to read from her picture book

Author Ruth Ann Willius will read from her book, “Go Daisy, Grow!” in multiple settings this weekend.

It’s a children’s picture book that “takes the reader into the life of a seed that wants to grow into a beautiful Shasta daisy,” organizers say. “She encounters many challenges in her ability to grow.”

The illustrations are done by 6th graders from Scandia Elementary School, Scandia, Minn.

The July 12 readings are at:

• Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center at Freedom Park, 200 Monroe Street, Prescott, Wis., from 10-12 a.m.;
