Burnsville has recently been an active market for commercial property buyers and sellers.

DL Investments LLC of Bloomington paid $1.125 million for a 30,268-square-foot light manufacturing building at 11551 Rupp Drive. The seller was a Bloomington family trust. The price was slightly below its most recent value of $1.35 million for tax purposes, according to Dakota County property records.

Ridgeview Partners Ltd. sold a 45,503-square-foot light manufacturing building for $2.1 million to Maple Ridge Center LLC, according to the CoStar Group. The county most recently valued the property at $1.8 million.

And earlier this month Chase Commercial Properties LLC of Burnsville closed on its purchase of a 39,235-square-foot warehouse and 61,320-square-foot office building at 14101 W. Southcross Drive. The price for both was about $4 million, according to documents filed with the Minnesota Department of Revenue.

The seller was Republic Bank & Trust Co. of Louisville, Ky. The properties were most recently valued at $5.25 million for tax purposes, according to county property records.

New SuperAmerica

SuperAmerica is building a store in the Lakeville Commerce Center development at County Road 70 and Keokuk Avenue.

The 3,300-square-foot building will include fuel sales, a convenience store and a carwash. The building should be completed later this summer.

Hotel rehab gets award

The ambitious makeover of the AmericInn Hotel in Apple Valley has won it the “Most Improved Property of the Year” award from the midscale hotel chain.

The Apple Valley facility beat 180 AmericInn hotels across the country.

The renovation of the property at County Road 42 and Cedar Avenue took two years and included improvements in guest rooms, lobby and kitchen and dining areas.
