Plays by Shakespeare, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world’s pre-eminent dramatist, have been translated into every major living language and are performed more often than those of any other playwright.

College’s festival will salute the fine arts

Inver Hills Community College invites the public to its to the third annual Fine Arts Festival Wednesday and Thursday.

The festival allowing attendees to meet faculty and guest presenters during a variety of workshops and demonstrations. Offerings include hands-on music, art and thea­ter workshops, a song contest, a choir performance, student-directed one-act plays and all-day drop-in painting, photography and sculpting.

The activities will take place in the Fine Arts Building at the school, 2500 E. 80th St., Inver Grove Heights. Admission is free. To register, see www.inverhills.edu/FAFestival/Reg ister.aspx.
