The Inver Hills Children’s Theatre will stage a free production of “Cinderella,” targeted for K-3 kids, at 1 p.m. Saturday at the campus.
“Humor and romance are beautifully woven together with a generous touch of magic in this lively version of the timeless favorite and always beloved French tale,” the promotional materials say.
The show, directed by George M. Roesler, is at the Fine Arts Theatre of the campus, located at 2500 E. 80th St., Inver Grove Heights.
Players needed for summer theater
A new community theater group is holding auditions Sunday and Monday for its first two productions, coming up this summer.
The Front Porch Players of Rosemount will hold auditions for the Neil Simon comedy “Barefoot in the Park” and the melodrama “A Penny Saved” at 3 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday at the Steeple Center, 13885 S. Rehearsals begin the first week of May, and the shows will be performed in June — six performances for “Barefoot in the Park,” and one outdoor performance for “A Penny Saved” as part of the Rosemount Area Art Council’s inaugural “Art Blast.”
Roles are available for men and women ages 20-60, and non-acting help is needed as well. For more information, see www.rosemountarts.com or call director Keith Reed at 651-261-1954.
