The LeDuc Historic Estate is offering holiday-themed tours and a pair of fine-dining events next month.

The decorated house, at 1629 Vermillion St., will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 7-8 and Dec. 14-15. Guided tours at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. will emphasize how the LeDucs prepared for Christmas.

Tours are $6 for most adults, $5 for seniors and military personnel, and $3 for students. Those 5 and younger and Dakota County Historical Society members are free.

On Dec. 8, the estate will hold a Victorian holiday dinner at 4 p.m. with a four-course gourmet meal and entertainment by the New Pearl Buttons, historical actors and a Victorian fashion show. The cost is $60 per person or $50 for historical society members. Call 651-437-7055 to register.

'Soulful Christmas' show is coming Dec. 6

Vocalist Alison Scott will be performing her "Soulful Christmas" show at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Lakeville Area Arts Center as part of the local artist's seven-stop holiday tour of Minnesota.

Scott, a locally grown soul vocalist backed by six-piece band and rotating musical guests, has released five albums, including her new CD of Christmas music. The show promises to feature some traditional Christmas songs, some original tunes and a few "all-year-round songs."
