A 30-year-old Richfield man died after a head-on crash with a semitrailer truck early Saturday in Shakopee.
About 2:40 a.m., driver Raul Lopez-Cruztitla was headed east on County Road 101 in a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix when he collided head-on with a semi near the ramp onto Hwy. 169, according to the State Patrol.
Lopez-Cruztitla died at the scene. According to the State Patrol, it's unknown whether he had consumed alcohol, but he was wearing a seat belt. The semi's driver, a 55-year-old man from Prior Lake, wasn't injured.
