Rising school lunch prices

Many south-metro school districts are raising school lunch prices for the 2008-09 school year. Here's a sample of the changes:

• Lakeville will raise its prices by 15 cents across the board. Elementary school lunches will cost $2, middle school lunches will cost $2.10 and high school lunches will cost $2.15.

• Belle Plaine is raising prices by 10 cents. Elementary school lunches will cost $1.70 and middle and high school lunches will cost $1.80.

• Burnsville-Eagan-Savage is raising prices 10 cents. Elementary school lunches will cost $2.30 and junior and senior high school lunches will cost $2.40.
