Rash of car fires breaks out in Lakeville

A rash of car fires just hours apart broke out in Lakeville, and police there are asking for the public's help in solving the crimes.

The first of the fires occurred early Monday in the 16300 block of Griffon Trail, police said. Later that morning, officers responded to four more vehicle fires in the same area.

Anyone with information about the fires is asked to call the police tips line (952-985-2840).

"A large reward is available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible," police said in a news release.
