Burnsville's new Lions Playground at Cliff Fen Park, 120 E. Cliff Road, is now open.

With 87 play pieces, the playground can accommodate up to 265 children at one time.

The city has added electricity and Wi-Fi to the park and shelters.

Park amenities include three picnic shelters, a volleyball court, soccer-football fields, nature trails and a scenic wetland.

The Burnsville Lions Club donated $50,000 for enhanced playground features.

"We have been looking for a big-impact community project, one that would benefit a large number of people, be citywide, be long term, and be one that would allow for public exposure for our club and Lions in general," Burnsville Lions President Mark Moen said. "When we first heard about the playground project, we knew right away it was exactly the project we wanted to be involved with."
