Evan Schroeder, 10, and his brother Alec, 7, filled "Thanksgiving baskets" with food and other dinner supplies last week as they joined about 1,000 volunteers at Mary, Mother of the Church in Burnsville.
Since 2002, the church has prepared the Thanksgiving packages for needy families.
This year, volunteers assembled 346 of the baskets, which were distributed to the Eagan Resource Center, 360 Communities, the CAP Agency, Dakota Woodlands and CATCH.
