Apple Valley

FEB. 6

Suspicious person. Police were called to an address where a woman with an ax or ice pick was chasing after a tow truck driver for trying to repossess her car.

FEB. 10

Auto theft. Police received a call from a man who said his vehicle was stolen. As police were en route to investigate the theft, the man called back and said, "never mind ... I just remembered I left it at Major's Sports Bar last night."

Eagan

FEB. 5

Theft. Two hundred gallons of diesel fuel were stolen from a semitrailer truck at Knight Transportation, 3045 Hwy. 13.

Theft. A man in the 1800 block of Silver Bell Road, reported that someone came into his locked apartment while he was sleeping and stole his Minneapolis Yellow Pages phone book.

Lakeville

FEB. 5

Illegal substance. Police stopped a vehicle for speeding while on patrol. The officer smelled marijuana, which he asked the driver about. The driver admitted to being in possession of a small amount of marijuana, which he promptly handed over. A case of beer was also discovered behind the front seat. The driver was then cited for three violations. As the officer was explaining the citations, the driver told him that he had aspirations to be a police officer. The officer told him that he may want to re-think his career choice.

Northfield

FEB. 5

Fire. A vehicle caught on fire in the parking lot of Target, 2323 S. Hwy. 3. Northfield Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. There were no injuries.

FEB. 6

Theft. An exterior light fixture was stolen from Cornerstone Community Church, 1313 S. Division St.

Savage

FEB. 3

Auto theft. A woman in the 4100 block of W. 141st Street reported that her car had been stolen. It was later found that the car had been repossessed.

Threat. A man in the 5400 block of W. 135th Street reported receiving a head of cauliflower in his mailbox with a threatening message attached to it.
